Congratulations Marquis!!!

I just want to tell everyone how impressive Marquis was at our 2011 MLK jr tennis day in late February.  Marquis was  respectful, focused, engaged and eager to learn!  So much so that several of our volunteer coaches commented to me on the day of the event!  Brian Notis of the Austin Tennis Academy was impressed as well. Through Set 2 Serves partnership with the Austin tennis community a scholarship to ATA's Spring Break camp has been awarded to Marquis. Thank you Jack Newman!

The Texas Tennis & Education Foundation is awarding 15 $1,000 college scholarships for the 2011-12 school year. These are not necessarily for the top players but are for those players with good scholarship, great attitude, and a financial need. The steps for applying for this scholarship are the following:

            1. Go to our website www.texas.usta.com.

2. Click on “foundation” on the bottom of the left side column.

3. Download the scholarship application.

4. Apply for all three scholarships with one application.

5. Return the application to the address given by April 15!
